Hey everyone!
I wanted to have your opinion and advice on how to spend $20,000 on an online marketing campaign for the company I work for.
The company offers Canadian B2B (Business to Business) IT Solutions, Services and Hardware distribution.
The target customers are IT Professionals for small businesses, medium sized organizations and large enterprises; that includes Government, Health and Education.
I need to find the right websites and advertising services to create the marketing plan to advertise for the company's products, services and solutions and major events.
Do you have any recommendations on how to spend that money online?
Any idea for a creative internet marketing campaign targeted towards IT Professionals?
Thank you for your help!

You can use that amount in different online marketing strategies. With the said amount you can seek professional services. The strategy should consist of a method that will constantly bring your possible customers to your website each single day. The strategy should summarize different online marketing procedures such as business blogging, article marketing, search engine optimization/SEO, etc., and how you are going to formulate them to bring your possible customers to your website.

20 grand is a lot of money, and you can have the best with that kind of budget. In terms of marketing campaign targeted towards IT Pros, I believe it's just a matter of structuring - using the right words and "trigger points."
The concept of marketing is universal in nature and can be applied to any type of target. Once you learn the strategies to market using the internet (which is the best medium for hi-tech savy IT's), you can save much of your money.
If you're inclined to spend a few hours of study, I would recommend Ewen's program. The steps are simple and immediately doable. It is a step-by-step guide to generate traffic and leads, in whatever niche you want. If this interests you, pm me so I can give you the link (yes, it's my affiliate link). Don't be turned off by the amount which is very low and may not be the ideal expense for your company. Focus instead on the learning that you will gain from this compact training.
Let me know if you take interest. Good luck.

Yeah, 20 grand is a really big budget. I mean you could do something really good with less than that, and save the rest for future marketing. Why don't you hire some ppc, it could guarantee traffic.

A good reputable SEM/research company will be your best bet. One that has credibility and can prove it has been able to help others in the past, and much more should be able to transfer/teach you how best to spend them advertising dollars.

Wow!, the Canadian company must be very rich or very stupid. To take someone on with this kind of budget, who then goes onto a forum looking for advise??? beyond me!!!
You have just opend the door to the vultures who all would want a slice of this $20,000 pie. A real freebie for a smart operator.
Well done to you and my sympathies to the poor Canadians.

1. Start with adwords and see what keywords work best
2. Survey your market
3. Build quality backlinks with articles and paid links
4. Affiliates
5. Build a autoresponder sequence (and a opt-in box)
6. Test, test test
7. Spend the budget slow

$20,000 is not a bad budget for internet marketing. You should try buying advertisment on a CRM with business websites that meet your demographic. You can get them to place banners, pop ups, forum and aticle writer sponsorship and even include you in their newsletter if you want good branding and exposures. This method will usually get you faster client results.
If time is not a problem then you could always use it for SEO, article writing campaigns, SEM and Social Media campaigns.
Tjhat money won't buy you much with an advertising firm like Leo Burnett in terms of graphics and campaign creation but if you do it yourself it can go pretty far.

Hi Alex
I would suggest that you purchase some cheap web hosting and make a lot of attractive web doorway pages explaining your services. You can get web hosting for below $50 U.S. a year to host all pages banners and more.
Then get them optimized and advertise them all for free at surf for traffic exchanges and good networking communities and business forums. Because you will build big traffic to your pages search engines will rank you high and you will get lots of free traffic from google and other search engines. This form of advertising is very inexpensive. I very rarely buy any form of advertising and my sites get 2 Million visits a year. I am about to purchase some at Adlandpro business community and it's buy one get 2 more free. And is very low cost. Over 100,000 members and many in I.T.
I have tried google ads and they do not work. Pay per click and many other forms of advertising will eat up you money for little or no real results. See my profile and other posts.
