Brand New and full of questions

hi guys,

i've just become a member to this forum and feel glad I can finally ask all the questions that i've been afraid to ask up to now!

I run, (with another director) a small limited company which has been established just under 1 year, we provide a range of secretarial services to small, medium and large businesses across the UK. I wont continue with the sales pitch, but our range of services is unique as we go against the current options of temps and recruitment agencies for staffing options.

Anywayyyy.... id like to start by asking what is the most effective advertising for a b2b services company such as ours? - yellow pages, trade show networking, telesales (and on the subject of telesales, what are the laws? - can you call any company up and talk about your services, or do you have to register under the telephone preference service or something). or is there a more effective way?

looking forward to your thoughts.

cheers.

J.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Took a quick look around your site. Its clean, easy to use and well laid out.

Most of our sales are from the internet these days. But this is specific to our industry and does not apply to all. This also requires good positions in the SE's. I imagine that your services are fairly specific to firms needs. Therefore you may benefit from Trade Shows, Networking or trade specific advertising.

Good luck with the venture I look forward to reading your future posts.

Mike.
