Hi everyone:
I am the marketing manager for The Bait Warehouse in Middlesex. We sell quality fishing bait (NO, not worms..but bolies, groundbait, dry and prepared particles plus an assortment of other fishing supplies ALL at discounted prices!! Visit us at www.thebaitwarehouse.co.uk
It's quite obvious we serve a niche market, and this has it's challenges (i.e. we are the mercy of mother nature), but on the upside, I will say it's an industry that is full of active (meaning our product is consumed and repurchased on a regular basis), loyal and passionate customers.
We have been working hard to promote our shop and new online store - so i joined this forum for new ideas and strategies (esp. bc we are seasonal). We advertise regularly in a number of angling publications, as well as participating in local trade shows. We recently started using a product called CALLTRACKS PRO, a patented advertising analysis system (we got a free trial because it's a new product on the market) - and it has actually done what the ads say..it's saved my budget! I'm pretty impressed so far. Basically it has allowed me to take the guess work out of deciding which magazines to focus on. It's a huge advantage for me to know this when the mag reps call to sell me ad space!! But, all that being said, I am still eager to see what additional strategies this board has for small (but growing) niche market companies.
