Just a quick post to introduce myself. I'm Michelle and I have just launched Grounded Vertigo, a web design company. At the moment I'm looking at promoting myself, so if anyone knows of any good sites then I'd be very grateful!!!

Best way of promoting yourself in my experience is word of mouth, the more work I do, the more I seem to get. To get your first few, let people know about your work on forums such as this, by including your web address in your profile, amazing how many people will take a look. Getting your site listed on free directories will also boost site visitors and hopefully bring you customers.

Try and find out about business networking events in your area too, by going along and swapping business cards with people you'll make great contacts which will hopefully lead to work. There are also online networking clubs such as Ecademy which may be of interest to you.
