My name is Olive, I live in Cambridge and run an online store Avalon Retail.

I was made redundant a few years ago and as I've been disabled for many years and am well into middle age I found it impossible to locate a personally rewarding job.

So with a lot of help and encouragement from a variety of organisations, family and friends my business went 'live' in July last year.

I sell a range of waterproof ponchos, reusable shopping bags and jewellery helpers. Things I've found useful or suggested by others.

My reason for joining this forum is to tell a tale of warning. I plan to title it 'Beware of the banks'

Welcome Olive but I hope that "Beware of the banks" isn't anything to do with money laundering as that story seems to be doing the rounds of forums at the moment
