Smile Hello from David - 02-12-2004, 04:36 PM

Hi

I am a budding entrepreneur and have eventually started a business. I am currently still working in transport and logistics, but I have started my businesses along side my current responsibilities - not an easy task, believe me!

My business is in partnership with 2 other people. I wanted to do it on my own, but I had to bring the two parties together to create the opportunity I saw. The business is currently concentrating on telemetry and wireless communications.

The business was called (is still called Trailer Tracking Limited) - but will become i-Sm@rt Wireless Limited.

This business was initially set up to hopefully take over the sales and marketing of a particular business arm of an invention that I believed would , and still believe will sell very well across Europe/America/Australia - basically anywhere. The problem is I cannot get exclusivity of the product just yet, but can get distribution rights to sell it, which is what I am going to do. It was a trailer tracking product, but as I am not getting exclusivity, I will be concentrating on machine to machine (M2M) products as well. We are not designers or manufacturers of telemerty devices (yet), but more of a distributor.

The margins are high and the market very young - the potential of M2M products is massive. For example - water meters that read themselves and send an SMS to the water providor, machines that tell you vending machines are empty, devices to manage anything that has the ability to talk to another machine.

We are a very young business and still building the foundations of our company.

Always looking for opportunities and to network.

Thanks

Hi David

I may be able to put you in touch with a Driver Training company who deal with companies with large HGV fleets - is this of interest or have I misread your post entirely?!

Thanks Phil.

No you haven't misread my post! I would be very interested in your contacts. The haulage market is one particular market that will do very well from using telematics.

Thanks again
