Hi.

My name's Philip and I guess I'm a cross between a jeweller and an entrepreneur.

After months of preparation my business is about to 'go live' and the "Oh my God, this is for real" moment has arrived. All the pieces of the jigsaw have finally fallen into place.

As you may be able to tell from my avatar, a diamond inset Apple iPhone is one of the products I'm giving the world!

The luxury cell phone market is worth over £800 million a year. A figure that even surprised me, although it obviously being driven by the desire for luxury goods from countries such as Russia, China and India.

If you're starting a business, seriously consider these countries. They are the future.

I've jumped in and out of self employment and small business over the years and the one thing I've learnt:

Never let anyone crush your ambition. Not friends, family, advisors or anyone else. It's your business, you know it inside out, they don't.

It's your dream. If you fail, pick yourself up and try again and keep trying. You'll learn from your experiences. You'll get there in the end!
