First of all thankyou for reading this post and let me apologise to you for invading your forum with the intention of asking your help in something.
My name is Hollie Miller and I am the organiser and creator of The Girlie Calendar 2009 project in aid of Help For Heroes, a charity of which I am sure
you are aware.

We will be presenting the calendar to the media at a press launch in Sussex, this September. We have been delighted by the levels of support from various members of the national and local media. The event will take place at a popular Brighton venue and in attendance will be celebrity guests, the press, soldiers and their families and many people associated with our project and the charity.

During the course of the evening we will be aiming to raise as much money as possible for the cause and so will be holding an auction hosted by one of our celebrity guests. We are currently appealing to UK businesses who may be able to donate a gift, service or item for auction.

All companies who wish to donate will be credited on our offical webpages, and at the event and of course you will recieve our very grateful thanks. We have already recieved very generous donations from the Manchester United football club, the Hilton hotel chains, Portsmouth FC and The Imperial War Museum of London.

If you feel you could help us in any way, please do get in touch. I am also happy to answer any questions you have or meet any specific queries.

I realise of course that many people are dubious and distrustful when it comes to donating things for charity - the charity for which we are raising money will be attending the auction themselves and are aware of what we are doing. They will be collecting all money raised on the night at the venue itself.

Similarly, the launch night itself will be a massive networking opportunity, and a great night out. Tickets are on sale however we are offering them free to local businesses who feel they might benefit by coming along. There will press, media, photographers and other business owners there, so it might a good socialising event for you.

Or if anyone could point me in the right direction of where to go and who to ask? Please, if I am coming across as a bit fractious and stressed that's because I am. This is a massive project for me which I've personally financed and has taken four months of work so far (with another four to go!) so please, even just a suggestion would be very welcome. I am just running into walls at every turning point. I appreciate anything at all that would help.
