Hello, I am from Malaysia

Hi,
I am pretty new to this forum and have the intension of sharing my business experiences plus introduce something new. I am a Mechanical Engineer by profession. Started in the Oil & Gas field as a Drilling Engineer. In 1979 was the president of The Society of Petroleum Engineers, Kuala Lumpur Chapter.
In 1989 started on my own and focus on the Oil and Gas until 1995. In Mid 1995 went into ICT business. Started with supply of Technical Software and later went into Document Imaging Services. Till today have scanned almost 80 million pages of various types of documents originated from Malaysia.
In 2003 met some friends and diversified into two new businesses that I really find it hard to believe but they are like something that you do one time and it continue to generate income continuously. Main reason why I went into these two new businesses is: I want to have a business that will run by itself after a one time work. One time I work it will continue making money forever. It is not those MLM type of business.
The four businesses that I am involved in are: The Document Imaging, Geographical Information System, Short Messaging Services and most reason in Modern Birdnest Farming System.
I am looking for business partners overseas for both SMS and Birdnest Farming. If there are any interested parties please reply to this thread.
Your interest is very much my interest too. Thank you.

Thank U Peterjhale,
The two businesses that I wish to get business partners are:
a) SMS Business
I invested a fair bid of money to design a system which allow my system to communicate with the all mobile phone Operators, in Malaysia. Beside that I have the application module that allows me to track the amount collected from mobile users for each service provided to them. I launched them successfully for the last six months and so far have generated more then RM 150,000. Currently I have about 16 SMS applications developed and introducing at lease 2 new applications per week.
I am looking to expand this unique business to other part of the world and would like to seek for suitable partners. Minimum investment about US$25,000 and return of investment is 200% per year.
b) Birdnest Farming.
This unique business is worth to look at. I studied this business for almost two years and invested about RM 100,000 to purchase one unit of an abandoned shop house and convert it into a Birdnest House. Within two months, the bird have indeed started to breed and more then 20 occupied the house and are ready to built their nest.
Each nest is about 3 inch in length shape like half bra. Selling price per kilo is RM 7,000 (US$1=RM 3.8). Each shoplot of 70X20 feet, once filled with birds, will bring in a total of RM 100,000 a month continuously. For two stories high the income expected is RM200,000 per month max.
I am looking for private investors who would like to try this opportunity and to share this business with me to built a couple of units on a joint venture basis. I will look after the JV units and upon harvesting the profit gained will be divided evently, less cost of operation. Minimum investment required is RM 90,000 for each 2 stories building.
Before making any decision I would like to invite them to visit Malaysia, enjoy the beautiful country and view the birdnest house yourself. You can take your time to evaluate the feasibility.
One unique thing that I did was to place music, M3, to call the birds to enter my birdhome. Beside that I need to include a Humidifier to stablise the room temperature. You will be facinated once you study how it works.
More and more Singaporean Chinese are into this. They come to Malaysia and buy a whole shoplot area and start to convert them into birdnest home.
Now I wish to explore the possiblity of getting investors from all over the world to look at this opportunity and work on a Joint venture basis.
This business comply to the word: "WORK ONE TIME AND YOU HARVEST THE MONEY CONTINUOUSLY"
A 5 STAR rating as an investment for your retirement plan.
Once the house is occuppied the bird will multiply at the rate of 3 times a year. Your birdhouse will be filled within 6-7 years. The best is, you do not have any employee to run your business, no overheads at all and you only need water and electricity to run the place. Monthly cost to run the house is about RM 100. The only thing you need is the BIRDs.

All very interesting
BUT - anyone suggesting 200% return flags extreme caution to me.

My forcast for July is RM 60,000 (US 15,789) or 1.34 times as compared to June 2004.
Tommorow, 3rd June 2004, the Mayor of the Capital city of Malacca, Malaysia will be launching my 39888 SMS system as a way for the Malaccan's to put forward their complains and suggessions using their mobile phone.
Once the suggessions and complains are received, my SMS will assemble them in a folder for the Local Council to act upon.

You can understand why I added caution - especially as this was your first post
Sounds like you are doing extremely well in your venture - and best of luck with your new launch

I would be interested in discussing further your SMS business. Perhaps you can post some more info or email me at mjwhart@hotmail.com. For info, my background is in the law, most recently in-house at a top 5 European bank in the city of london. Having just taken a redundancy package, I am looking to invest some of the capital in the right new media venture.
Look forward to hearing.
NB: I would be happy to assist with any members of Tenereic with IP advice .

SMS Business Expansion to Singapore !!!
19-12-2004, 05:27 PM
#9
Just to advise those who are new to Malaysia. We are located just above Singapore Island.
My SMS business is growing and in a very short time we will be in Singapore.
Latest development is to apply SMS to a Local Bank.
We have been asked to develop various applications that will help the Bank's customer to receive Alerts on any important issues pertaining to their account & credit cards.
Beside standard alerts, customer will be able to check their balance by sending a short keywords to a keynumber.
The next stept is to allow clients to tranfer or make payments using their mobile phone. The system shall be equipt with all security required to ensure that they are theft proof.
This is exciting and a big challenge to us.
Beside the above we have developed applications that are suitable for :
1) Chat
2) Driver to Driver
3) Donation Campaigns
4) Alert on Sports news.
5) Alert on Breaking news
6) Alerts on Lottery results
7) Alerts on Horse racing results.
8) Bulk SMS and many more
We are still looking for suitable partners who wish to be our partner in their own backyard.
Bye
