Hi everybody...

I've been reading the forum for a while and thought it was finally time to sign up!

I run a small web design agency in Bolton (http://www.jigsawinternet.com) and run a personal blog at http://www.fluffypig.com.

I'm looking to increase my portfolio with some heavily discounted rates to get me started so if anybody is interested drop me an email and we can discuss your requirements.

I look forward to chatting to some of you

Shaun

Welcome to the forums Shaun.

Just had a look at your site and got a jumbled mess (I use firefox and increased font sizes), might be an idea to fix this. I also get the same layout problems on all your portfolio sites.

I'm sure many will be in contact to take you up on your offer but it might be an idea to review your designs before taking on lots of new work.

Hi, thanks for the information.

It's not something I have had any problems with before, most of the pages do actually scale ok, however the main page of the Jigsaw site is a mess you're right. I'm not sure that too many people use text resizing but it is certainly something that should be fixed.

Thanks again for bringing it to my attention.

Not a problem.

The issue raises its head because of the increasing use of larger high resolution monitors. A site that looks great on your 1024px wide CRT looks lost on a 1680px LCD brightscreen. And because many sites still use px/pt font sizes in the CSS (sigh) the text can end up looking tiny on the screen. Which is why I increase the font size - so I can read it!

As to the scaling issue, on two of your portfolio sites, the main navbar ends up on two lines messing up the main content.
