My name is Cheryl and i am a full time stay at home mum and have just started my own business on 25th April selling lingerie on the internet. Stumbled across this site and you all seem like a friendly bunch. Just thought i would say hi.

Mmmmm.....quiet. Wasn't expecting a great rush of orders but thought i would get one at least! Never mind...there's always tomorrow... and the next day....and the next!

Oh well, early days yet....

Have you got your own site or are you selling through another site? (eg on eBay) If it's on your own site, it will take a while. Have you submitted to the search engines etc.?

I don't think you picked the best week to get started either - with the good weather and the Bank Holiday, I have noticed a significant drop-off in the last couple of days myself - people have better things to be doing with their time than surfing the net! Don't know if anyone else has experienced the same.....

Trouble is that it's a ozcommerce site and the SEs have trouble indexing session urls, eg:

Welcome to the forum Cheryl.

It is going to take a little bit of patience I'm afraid. Getting ranked well in search engines takes a lot of 'off page SEO work' which is mostly link building.
