It depends, I have a few years of experience working with the technology, so the exams to me are not that difficult. It just takes time as software in a small business is different to that of a Medium or large business. A lot of the accreditation focuses on the needs of a Small Business rather then the technical side as well, so we learn how to become a IT business advisor as well as just a techie. Say for example the customer wants to manage a marketing campaign and meantion it to us, we will help them select the software we feel is best (at this moment in time Microsoft CRM Small Business Edition), and actually teach them how to use it, how to implement their campaign through it and how to monitor their results.
Whereas someone else looking to just start in the market with little experience will find it a struggle. There are plenty of courses that will get you to pass the exam, however experience is everything when customers call you and their system is down and it is your responsibility to get it back up (doesn't happen often luckily as I am proactive with my monitoring).
Rgds,
Chris
