I've been lurking for a while, but I like the look of this forum and intend to become an active member of it, so thought I'd introduce myself...

My name is Gavin and I was recently been made redundant. For the last couple of years I have been looking to go my own way, so the redundancy was more of a stepping-stone than a shock. After leaving my previous employer I have now started my own technology solutions company, which is aimed at small businesses. The company is called Concept Network.

I'm still working on putting the company together at the moment, so things are quite hectic as I deal with the few jobs I already have and juggle the paperwork etc. All part of the learning curve though!

I have many years' experience in IT, web design (mainly intranet design) and business improvement. By combining all of these skills together I hope to be able to help small businesses become more efficient through the use of technology.

I'll be checking in on the forum each day and helping out where I can, so hope to chat with you all through the various threads.

All the best,

Gavin.

Hi Gavin and welcome to the forum.

It's interesting how for some of us it takes something pretty drastic (like redundancy) to make us finally take the plunge despite wanting to do it for many years.

Hope all works out well with your business. There's a knowledgable bunch on here so feel free to ask any questions (and answer them as well).

Regards

Joy
