Hi All

Just the obligatory hello and introduction...

After running various small software and web businesses, I'm now a director of a fairly successful CRM software practice - unable to stay away from side-projects though I've recently started up www.VerySimpleWebsites.com offering simple, no-nonsense small websites; the idea being that we offer the low-cost, fast-turnaround and simplicity of template-based web design, but with a human touch! This is a requirement which cropped up on numerous occasions when I was previously heading up a larger web design company - a lot of people wanted something personalised but didn't want to pay a fortune; at the same time they didn't want the "square peg in a round hole" look of the usual template-based website.

I'm here for various reasons - a bit of networking, some advice (and maybe I'll even be able to offer some here and there!) and just generally to rabbit with other like-minded people in the same kind of situation!

Great business idea - hope it takes off for you.

I know there are lots of small businesses that want to harness the power of the net but cannot afford big fancy sites, so well done for providing a cheaper alternative for them so they can compete with other companies.

You are based in West Sussex, just down the road from us in Hastings, whereabouts?

Thanks for the welcome & kind words! I hope the idea is sound, it was borne out of a real requirement which seemed to crop up again and again in the past.

I'm in Burgess Hill, so not a million miles away - in fact I was on Hastings seafront with the kids during that rare day of sunshine last weekend!
