Hi,
A group of 9 people purchased in bulk electronic items(ipod and psp) from an limited company. The value of these goods is in excess of £8500. It appears that the company 'disappeared', with no contact via email, PM(via online forum) nor phone number. As you can imagine many of the buyers have lost vast sums of money as they never received the goods as promised. Where do we go from here? How should we approach such situation? All buyers are in contact with each via an private online message board.
He has claimed he got approached by 'gunpoint' when meeting with his supplier and forced to hand over all money with no goods exchanged. We do not believe this story, the police contacted us briefly however there is no evidence to suggest that this story is valid.
Here is an email many buyers have received.
ear Creditor,
After weeks of trying to recover the monies you paid for your products, with regret I inform you that the supplier has commited the act of fraud with the whole deal that was set up. We have informed the police and an investigation is under way to recover the money.
Unfortunately this situation has forced *** Ltd and its shareholers to go into liquidation. Any money owed to creditors will come out of the companies assets.
All creditors will be contacted in due course. Sincere appologies go out to you.
Kind Regards
----
Any advice on how we go forward? Thanks for your time
