How can I get shares back from a resigned director???? -
28-08-2007, 09:35 PM
Hi
Can anyone help me... I set up a small private limited company with a friend of mine. We registered with 50 ordinary shares each. Things didnt work out and my friend resigned as a director but we forget to address the share issue. My friend still holds 50 shares to my company. Things did not end on good terms but I need to get those shares back. I am concerned if I ask him to transfer them back it will prompt him to hold on to them. Is there anyway I can get them back without requiring his consent? SD57 |

No. The only way to approach it is to request the shares back and if that does not work you need to look at your legal options. To terminate his involvement in the business should be tied off properly now so it needs to be addressed as soon as you can.
