I'm Bankrupt... what should I do with my sole trader Ltd Company?

I used to work in the IT industry and setup a sole trader Ltd company which was run by my accountant.

I recently filed for personal bankruptcy and so am now disqualified from running a company. Therefore the Receiver has asked me to reseign as a director.

This is easier said than done, since I am the only director of my Ltd company, and of course, every company needs at least one director!

The company filed accounts and a corporation tax return in Feb 2007, but since then has been inactive. There have been no sales, and the only purchases have been my accountant's monthly fee.

Therefore can I apply to have the company struck off? Since this would satisfy the receiver regarding my directorship. The company bank account is in credit (just) and the only debts are a few hundred pounds to my accountant.

I've asked the OR and my accountant for advice... The accountant told me to ask the OR, and the OR told me that I need to 'seek advice'... so here I am
