I will be meeting a business man at an airport to discuss a business idea he has
He said he wanted to keep formal records of the people he speaks on the project and wants me to have a copy of my passport or driving license and a copy of two recent bills demonstrating my present home address? He will also have his similar documents. Are these reasonable steps? |

I agree, he did say that he would provide the same also though.

I'd still be unwilling to pass on these details to someone I've never met and probably not someone I'll ever meet again.
Is this businessman anything to do with that finance company? |

If it's protection of his business idea he's worried about then a good strong NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) should be all that's required. A visual check on an identifyable ID, such as photo driving licence, to confirm your address, would confirm the validity of the details on the NDA.
He's not offering to pay you a large sum up front and you give him some back or saying you have to employ specific third paties paid for out of the balance is he? |
