Legal advise on commission payments
04-04-2007, 10:12 AM
  #1

I am a recruitment consultant as present placing permanent staff to the automotive sector. I am just about to hand in my notice to start trading on my own and I am concerned that any commission I have outstanding will not be paid.

I have been with the company for 7 years and I have a very poor contract which is basically a 2 page offer letter which states under the commission section "should you leave the company then my further commission payments will me paid".

I will be handing in my notice on the 8th March and have to give 1 weeks notice.

I have two more candidates that are due to start work on the 11th and 12th April 2007 and I am worried that if I leave before I get paid the commission which is paid one month in arrears (end of May) then I may not get paid.

PLEASE can anyone help ?

Many thanks

Pete
