New Freeholder - 11-02-2008, 05:29 PM

I recently bought a 995 year lease on a flat over a Barclay's Bank Branch, from Barclay's Bank. Barclay's have now sold the freehold to an investment company based in the Windward Islands and the only notification I have received is an email message from Barclay's Solicitors giving a contact name and address in this country of an agent.

AS a lease holder of one of the flats I need confirmation that I have buildings insurance, and ad a director of the management company responsible for looking after the common parts of the block, I was trying to get public liability insurance should any accident occur to any one on the common parts. The insurance companies I have approached only sell public liability on the back of buildings insurance, which I don't have.

Any help would be appreciated.
