Penalties on a dissolved company
26-03-2007, 03:07 PM
  #1

I formed a limited company in 1998 for use when contracting. However, the company become insolvent and was dissolved in 2004 as shown on the Companies House record.

I am still receiving tax forms from Inland Revenue however, and have just received a £900 penalty for not submitting an Annual Return last year.

What is my legal standing on this?

Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

Inland Revenue and Annual Returns do not coincide.

Annual Returns are made to Companies House.

Can you clarify what the penalty is actually for, otherwise consult your Accountant at the time
