Hi am new here so be kind.
I sent my ghd's (irons) away to be repaired i found a man on the internet who could repair them i emailed him, Got a reply pretty quick saying to send them to his address with £20 for repairing them. So i done that that was 4 weeks ago, I only have an email address for him and his home address i have emailed him MANY times asking whats going on with them and had no reply to any of them. I sent the irons Special Delivery they were signed for by a women in the address he stays at but that is the only proof i have that he got them. How do i go about getting them back? I cant go to his house and bang on the door am not that daft. Any help would be great thanks |

Re: Sent Something For Repair And It Never Came Back -

First of all I would obtain proof that the package was signed for (this can be done quickly, and for free, at royalmail.co.uk). Secondly, assuming you sent a cheque for £20, contact your bank and ask for proof of who cashed it (they will send a document detailing which bank it was paid into etc., with a processed photocopy of the cheque itself).
With those documents to hand, write to the person you sent the item to informing them that it has been 4 weeks and that you are concerned with the lack of communication. If you hear nothing back, which sounds fairly likely, call into your local police station and explain the situation (take the above documents with you). |
