Hi,
I'm a minority shareholder in a ltd company which I found out on the Companies House website has been recently dissolved. Can anybody advise on the legal situation regarding the fact that I have not been informed of that decision and whether any recompense could be achieved. I have not been actively involved with the company since 1998. Any information or advice would be appreciated. regards Pete |

Re: Shareholder in dissolved Ltd company -

Hi, many thanks for taking the time to reply to my query. Checking Companies house I got the latest accounts which were dated for the year ended Sept 2005. The company was dissolved April 2008.
I was not informed of this, and reading the Companies House document GBW2 it would appear that I should have received a form 652a (Application for striking off) .No such form was sent. Companies House apparently do not get involved in these issues and advise getting legal advice. One question I would like to know --is there not some Government body one could approach to ensure that the company abides to the regulations as laid down,or suffer the consquences. onc e again thank you for your time regards Pete Jenkins |
