Stiched up by abusive husband - Occupation, Prohibited steps, How can he do this?????

Ok, this is one hell of an issue, so please bear with me.

After years and years (all 8 of my married life) of my husband sleeping around i finally had enough and told him i wanted a divorce on 8th october 2007

He went off and returned on 12th october with an occupation order, throwing me out my joint tenancy council place. He was granted this ex-parte.

Along with this he had a prohibited steps order stopping me from taking my children of him as he was also granted an..............

..........interim residence order of our 3 kids.

Ive been to womans aid and suprisingly i have been at serious risk of domestic abuse for years, although not being battered about, the fact he had control over my finances, my social life, and being my drug dealer my drug habit (amphetamines).

I have been to court with respect to trying to get the occupation order overturned (upon reading about this, this order is normally granted to victims of domestic abuse, my husband has criminal record for possession of drugs and been to prison to violence, he is no victim)!! But because county court made the order magistrates, bumped it back up to county for when i go back to court in Jan about the residence order.

He's thrown all my belonging out, wont give me nothing not even speak to the kids. I see them for 2 hours in a contact center every fortnight. I was the primary carer of the kids, even as far as sleeping on the sofa when my 23 month old was born so as her morning feeds didn't wake him!!

Im staying at a friends cos there aint no room at womans refuge or homeless hostel over xmas period, my life is just going bad to worse, surely his solicitor should have thought about these implication would have on me and my family?

my husband reckons that he didnt know what he was doing, just going along with whatever his brief suggested?

Its a good sign that the courts would'nt grant him a non-molestation order or power of arrest on occupation order!!

Ive already been done for criminal damage as upon finding half my belonging gone, and locks changed i put a brick through window door to gain entry to my property, i admitted doing it even phoned 999 as soon as i did it (got cautioned).

Basically i want to know how can he do this, and what can i do to get my kids and home back? Isnt using my kids to get at me still seen as continuation of domestic abuse? He walked out on me every year twice a year for some1 else without thinking of them then!!

Social services are in mixed minds, they first of all say it was civil dispute, then ordered to file a section 7, my solicitor says things dont look good for me.

I FEEL LIKE IVE BEEN WELL AND TRULY DONE UP
