Smile Trees at risk of falling on our property

Hi we have a business premises with a small wood behind it. As we sell vans we have them on display on the forecourt. There are a number of trees in the wood behind that are at risk of falling, we have had one already, thankfully it didn't hit anything just smashed through the fence. We have warned the farmer that some look in need of attention, but as yet he has done nothing to maintain the wood, despite getting subsidies on it !!

Where would we stand if one falls on our van stock and causes damage, do we assume that he has insurance to cover the cost?
Any thoughts?

Thanks

Yes his insurance should cover you.

You can always speak to your local authority who will send out an inspector. Who will then take any necessary action.
