Website address; am I infringing copyright?

I have just registered a website address called theblogcrowd.com. Me and some of my friends are going to use it to publish our blogs. However, I typed 'blog crowd' into Google and I've founded out that there is a website called blogcrowd.com. It is a website that helps people attract visitors to their blogs.

I'm just wondering, am I infringing on their copyright? Do I have reason to worry?

No. The name is different and you aren't trying to copy their idea so you should be pretty safe.

But if you look at blogcrowd.com is pretty much a waste of space - in fact I'd be surprised if they get much traffic as it's just part of a larger affiliate thing.

A thought about your idea. Rather than spread the blogs around, why don't you just all contribute to one super blog. It will mean a higher number of posts (which google loves) and all inbound links will go to one place which should improve your ranking.
