Advice about my flyer -
27-01-2008, 10:42 PM
Can you have a look over my flyer and give me some advice. I have been using a flyer from time to time when business gets a little quite, I go out delivering this to potential customers. I have had mixed success with the flyer method, this one and its earlier incarnations, from 1% to 5% return depending on the demographics of the area.
I really needs some good advice how to market my business well, both in terms of this flyer and any other ideas that would prove to be a better earner. Anyway, the flyer has a front and back, the two images are below: ![]() ![]() Thanks in anticipation |

I assumed the jpegs were in an images folder, rather than the root folder, so here you are:

thanks for looking over the flyer, I will make some necessary adjustments and check back with you all if that is ok.
Thanks TKESSEX for sorting out the image problem, much appreciated. |

I would say iits definately a good start but it needs something that will make someone who is probably going to be very uninterested in the subject, look at it and maybe even have a read.
Keep the text down to a minimum and maybe feature a predominant offer with what Joe Bloggs would like to get and how much it would cost him. |

In addition to the above comments. I'd also reccommend showing it to someone who knows what they are doing with print graphics. Any graphics that are going to be printed out need to be at least 300dpi for them to show up well. If you leave it without graphical optimisation, chances are it will look cheap and nasty when its printed out.

If you don't want to change it, at least split the "problems with your computer at home" line into two separate questions. It reads better, and it makes it clearer that your service handles multiple needs.

In addition to the other points already made I would suggest having two flyers: one for business customers and one for consumers (home fixes). The reason being is that the two are very different markets. The consumer will call when something goes wrong so you can focus on offering fast call out and no call out charge. The business customer is looking for support that is already in place - and you are not so focussed on price.
I would also include a hook in the form of an offer like free PC health check with your first order. You need to stand out a bit more. |
