Advice and/or Partner Needed - Lucrative Software -
27-11-2006, 06:27 PM
Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a business partner, or at least someone to provide a little direction. After 12 months of work my new project is finally ready, and I'm extremely happy with the initial results. It's a new software framework, but please know, it's not like the typical frameworks out there. For full information, please visit: http://www.rdframe.com/ I'm an excellent developer and decent businessman, but I'm a horrible marketing / sales guy. I currently have one major client in the loans & mortgages industry, and so far everything has went beautifully with that relationship. They now have a fully customized online application for the loans industry branded with their company name, which can be deployed within minutes, and everyone is extremely happy with. The CEOs, brokers, payroll, individual loan officers, etc. For example, here's something he said a few weeks ago: Quote:
My problem is, I don't know what direction I should take this, as there's about 100 different ways I could go. My ideal vision would be that nobody even knows the name "RD Frame" exists, and instead duplicate the relationship I have with my loans guy in as many industries as possible. Then maybe have a development team of 8, and as many support personnel as needed. We stay in the shadows constantly working to ensure they have one of the best online applications in their industry, supported by an excellent infrastructure allowing for easy expansion, and they push it out to the public. I don't even know if that's a plausible scenario, or if I'm deluding myself? If it is plausible, how to go about getting additional clients? If not plausible, what direction should I take? Make more of a public / sales web site, and start selling individual systems to the public? Try to build a developer community and allow the public to publish projects to the network? Develop multiple systems for various industries, and setup a separate domain / site for each? Try to convince development companies to use this as an infrastructure for some clients? So I'm basically looking for either, someone who thinks they're capable of pushing a quality software system in their industry, or someone who knows what they're doing and wants to get involved in a lucrative business. I can handle the development, employees, projects, finances, legal, etc... and I like to think I can handle it well. As for the sales / marketing, and the initial direction I should take the company, I'm at a loss... Or if you just need a single system, feel free to let me know too.Any advice or contacts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks alot, Matt |

Would it not be an idea to give Matt a reason to "drop you an email"
I also notice that you are posting from the same IP address as RaGe - does that make you the same person ![]() factoring, invoice discounting, asset finance and trade finance specialist broker. Founder member of the Independent Factoring Brokers Association |
