I've used home made business cards the first year or two.
But, then I got them made by VistaPrint . com
They offer free cards to first time customers.
In exchange, they put their tiny little logo message on the back of the card.
The cards are very nice. Much better than home made.

I considered making mine, but changed my mind, the pcworld type business cards I looked at locally were either much too thin or had horriblr perforations around them. I could have printed them out on better quality paper and cut them out but decided to get some made, in the end I got some off ebay (my design). I am 1000% happy with them, if anyones interested I'll pass on the details of the person I got them off (and have have reordered)

Get your business cards done professionally.

In business image and first impressions is everything.

If you pass a shoddy card your potential customer may link shoddy card with shoddy business.......not good!

Its definatly worth paying for quality as it will pay dividens in the future.

I've had nothing but great comments about my cards.

I always get mine professionally printed.

Logo on the back, and business details on the front.
Double-sided cards seem to get people talking.

Whats the first thing you do when you get handed a card? I turn it over.

Printed on 300gsm board.
The next lot will have a matt finish on both sides as well.

Was so impressed that I signed up as a reseller for my printer - now thats what quality can achieve - and what word of mouth advertising is all about.

Exactly the same as mine, ie logo on the back, details on the front, with plenty of white space for people to write if required. As you say quality shows and I've received numerous positive comments.

Regards

Has anyone been given a CD business card.

I was given one a while back with logo and contact details on as per a normal card.

But when you put the card in your CD drive and run it, it plays out their company presentation. Neat!

LOL

CD cards have not taken off because most people just put a url on a business card that works just as well. Also CD cards go out of date v quickly.

I agree with Bizal there. CD business cards are just not needed anymore with everyone being online and most people with a broadband connection too.

A few years ago I was involved in making a few of these cards, they were going out of date then. IT is much better to have a professional business card and a decent website, rather than combine the two.
