FSB regional conference -
06-01-2008, 08:27 PM
Hi folks.
In many ways, the folks attending an FSB conference are target market for our public courses. A stand (details unknown but probably just a table and some space - *perhaps* with power) is a pittance so the only real cost is my time. However, I can't be arsed to pay for one of those big flashy stands 'cos I'm far from convinced it'd be worth the hassle. Besides, everyone else will have one and I want to be a bit different.
I guess we're talking very low hundreds of people there and even fewer going to the stands, so it'll be hard to generate 'atmosphere' etc but ......? S |

That's why I want to do something without spending £££ on the banners and so on.... Besides, although it's a different thing from public speaking, people will have certain expectations about how we present ourselves.

Buy a couple of pop up banner stands cheaply from:
http://www.genite.com Stands are here: http://www.genite.com/template/products.aspx?id=142 Without anything behind your table it will look odd and you will find other uses for them too. They make good side displays when you are speaking for example. Have an attractive business card draw prize, or similar, to reel them in. One year I setup A Grand Prix racing game on a laptop with a bigish screen and steering wheel pedals. Prize for the best lap time. Took a bit of managing but not many people just walked by! |
