Hello everyone,

For my work I have to advertise the services of the company I am working for in magazines and online.

I have selected 3 magazines that corresponds to what we need.

However, because the budget is quire limited. This will be for 4 months from september.

I just would like to know if someone here has done that before and could give me some help.

I wonder if I should focus on spreading the ads for each magazine over these 4 months or if I should focus on advertising as much as I can for each magazine during one month.

Not sure it that's understandable but basically I can choose to advertise on 1 magazine during one month or advertisie in the same magazine over the 4 months.
For me advertising one month would have a better impact because the ad would be visible on different space for a shorter period of time. If it was advertise over 4 months, it would probably have a less visual impact and maybe even not be noticed by readers.

Does anyone could let me know what is the best approach?

What is your product or service if I may ask? I work as an editor for a new magazine that does not come out until September but our ad prices are very reasonable and, if possible, we offer discounts for cross promoting each other.

Magazine adverts very seldom work unless you have loads of money, because you find that people need to see the same advert for at least 6 months before they think your for good, not another fly by night, sorry but it's true.
Your far better spending your money on 1 big advert in 1 good magazine and staying in it for a min of 6 months, 1 year if you can.
We advertised in a massive health magazine that sold 3.2 million copies in the UK till about 2003, we put an advert in for 6 months, it was the 4th edition we put our ad in before we got our very first call.

We have not advertised in any mag since as like 1000s of other people we find it is money down the drain, people look at adverts in mags like you watch them on TV, you make a cup of tea? right remember most people do too, and with even big magazines being short of readers these days adverts simply do not work.

I echo David's view here. Your budget would be better spent promoting the company and its products on the Internet, either by sponsored links or SEO.
