No problem Salem. Glad we could be of help.

To be honest, I'm sure there plenty of people who have a lot more practical experience than I do about dropshipping. I just know the theory as I researched it at one point, but I never actually got round to doing anything!

Good luck with whatever you do & let us know how you get on!

OK leyts get this in perspective. It is no easier to make money online than it is by more traditional means.

If you buy a dropshipping DB with exactly the same products as everybody else then don't expect to make a single sale. You will be competing in a very competitive market against people who may have had an online shop for many years.

And even if you do find a niche you still need a decent website in which to maket your products. This is going to cost you upwards of £1000. You could get one built on the cheap but this puts you in the barrow boy league rather than the high street shop. You are also going to have hosting and marketing costs, insurance and business registration.

And even if you are successful, don't expect to make a profit until at least year 2, probably year 3.

Hi and thanks for your repley,
Thanks for sharing your experience with us,but i think that 1000 pound is so expencive to build a web site (what do you think about the offer of dropshipland.com? Whith only 79.97 pound you can build it whithout forgeting that your website is optimized).
And i think that 2 years or 3 years is so long to make a profit,if it is that's a bad way to earn money and we have to change it.
Thanks and best wishes
Salem.

£1000 is cheap. A good quality site can cost ten times this. If you only want to pay £79.97 then don't expect to see a single visitor let alone make any sales. Amazom paid an awful lot more for their website and it took them years to make a profit.

You will make more money cleaning windows than you ever will using a cheap dropshipping website. As I've already said, you will need to to put just as much effort into an online business as you would setting up a bricks and mortar shop.

You just have to do your research. Use a search engine to find an webdesigner that can build you a site, a dropshipper that sells things people weant to buy, a copywriter to create your content, a graphic designer to do your logos, a merketeer to get you noticed and a host to look after the website for you.

I could give you a list on names of pople I use but it's far better if you look for someone local. I know someone who can build you a website for £100 and someone else who will do it for £2000 - it really depends on what your requirements and expectations are.

I agree that having a good web-site which is optimised for search engines is very important & I also agree that there are companies that charge thousands, but there are also very reasonably priced companies as well (including the one I work for).

With regards to dropshipping, a lot of the dropshipping companies provide a site as part of their package hence the reason why they are so cheap, but if you can get a web-site from a dropshipper & it has the functionality to SEO the site as well, you've saved yourself a lot of money.

With regards to making profit, I also agree that if you are in a competitive field, i.e selling a competitive product, it will be harder to make a lot of money, but it is not impossible.

Remember, not everyone with a site has it optimised or on search engines.

The key here is to make sure you have full commitment in the business as you would have in a standard bricks & mortar business & you will be successful.

I do feel however, in a bricks & mortar business you would expect to make a profit in year 2 or 3, but you can certainly make a profit quicker in an online business as it doesn't have to cost thousands in overheads. You may not earn enough to quit your job straight away or anything, but that in my eye's is a good thing as you are still earning an income whilst building your business, which you probably wouldn't be able to do in a traditional business.

Hi Salem,

If you're asking me how I built mine, then mine is one of our pre-built templates from work. It serves my purposes as it is fully updateable, as well as being more or lessly fully optimisable.

At some pint I may change the design of my site, to a more bespoke one, but for now it is sufficient.
