Hi!!

Im a new member of this forum,I would say this forum is superb, people like fisco Skinny, Rich09,willie, carpetmedic, zooz, stokey, mrcat, automan any and many others have great ideas, I tought I should take help from ur guys, I need your help im sure u will give me some ideas.

Im from Karachi(Pakistan), on every Eid ul Ulzaha(our Festival) we have a biggest Animal Market of Asia where people come and buy animals ( cows and bulls) for slaughtering. This temperary Market is made in a big ground where everyone can do business, I also sell my bulls and cow there. if we get good income people we get v good business. Can u people kindly tell me how can I attract rich people to come to my camp in market and have business with me.

is it possible to have a promo budget with your business??
like you give for free caps/cups/face towel/calender or anything that will be left in kitchen or lounge room, with your business name written on it,
do you know how to value add to your product??

Yes I have place in that market and I have budget for promotion.
I would say my place is avg, nor very good neither very bad.
I have business name but its not famous,
your idea is superb, I will do that,
to be honest I dont know how to add value to my product, how can I do taht?

this is good to read your comment.

There are many ways to promote business and would definitely a strategy. But if we go into it than there would be sales & marketing cost, Administrative cost, many variable and fixed cost.

As I understand you are only concentrating only on (Eid ul Ulzaha) this is a seasonal business. As far as I know that Muslim's have a many occasion when they could sell animals but this is only hypothesis for me as I don’t know in details about your other festival.

In sales and marketing term this is a business where people have complex buying behavior- people are much more informative and aware of significance of differences. So initially try to understand AIDA model ( attention, Interest, Desire and action). You should first create attention of your prospects this could be through - word of mouth, local TV channel Ad, sales promotion like any items offered with product ( towel, pen, calendar etc) or FREE of cost promotional material - broachers, pump lets etc through mail delivery. you may also make a tie with other businesses like you may provide these Free promotional material to shop keeper, stores, departmental store. I suppose good idea is ( if your religion permits) to offer your company name printed towel at all MASZIDs - where people interact 5 times every day. Note that offer this items to all people not only so called RICH people - this is strategy of word of mouth.

By doing so you may create people attention and remember that 80:20 Ratio always works - if only 20% people reach on INTERSEST level ( 2nd level)your promotional campaign is some what successful.

Hammering this again and again - I am sure it may not cost you more as you purchase these items on bulk. this hammering definitely take those 20% to third level DESIRE of Purchase and ultimately when your festival would be near pore your 100% in campaign and remember as Karachi is a good city but their mind capacity is OK so use LOUD SPEAKER and stickers to direct them all toward your shop. As this is a sectional business so you may offer them discount- this discount offer not decrease your revenue but would increase ( but in short run)your revenue -
as see example
100 animal * 2000 (Pakistani Currency) = 200000 (Pakistani Currency)
110 animals* 1950 (Pakistani Currency) = 214500 (Pakistani Currency)
( if you offer discount - definitely more people buy - but this discount should be below than competitive rate)

This action would remind them definitely for next year but be sure that this is a market place your competitors would definitely copy this idea - so you should be careful to make next year's strategy.

1. can you hire someone to do the slaughter, so that your client get meat that is slaughter, according to your religious text, look at the cost and see if you can spread this out, they get 5 for the price of 4.

We are from Lahore and we understand your concerns. We are well aware of the way animals are sold during Eid days and the prices, which are already high. I think it’s a very noble business you are running, and providing animals for the sacrifice. I think you should try to create a relationship with your existing customer by offering them special services, and making a list of your customers, and contacting them every year in advance. By this you can provide them peaceful services, and provide them comfort of getting animals from you at home.

More also I agree with others here on this forum, that you must promote your brand, getting some flyers printed and distribute them in Karachi with your phone numbers and stall number in the marketplace.
