i would think that if you are specifically thinking of targetting traditional media for repsonse then you would need your contact details on your site - at the very least a telephone number.

It really depends who your target market is. Big ads usually work best. So does repeating the same ad in the same publication for three weeks. But it depends if you've chosen the right ad and the right publication to begin with, and you probably won't find out until you've spent a heap of cash.

Also, it depends what you're selling. Some products and services get great response in newspapers and magazines, whilst others don't. It is worth haggling with them over advertising costs. Also, you could find out their usual charges, then send them a cheque for quarter of the price, and ask them to run the ad for that price if they have space.

To keep costs down, why not try writing some press releases, and submitting them to newspapers and magazines. These publications need to fill space, and if you give them something interesting, it won't cost you a penny.

Find niche markets and design packages for them. Target Fishermen, get templates and offer a complete web package to them. Make so EVERYTHING they need is from you and I mean EVERYTHING. Web hosting is so competitive that you might earn a decent living but you wont get rich unless you get very lucky somewhere.

You can pick up classified ad space in specialist mags for around £20-£30. Get them to call for a FREE report. 10 Things every fisherman needs to know before he chooses a web host and 3 secrets web hosts don’t want you to know.

Get them to call you, plug their details into a database, Use ACT professional to start sending sequential response letters, After 3 well written letters and maybe a year 1 discount you will have them.

Get the system, right and it works on autopilot. Once it is working right target, golfers, pilots, scuba divers, pot bellied pig owners, etc.

NICHE, Niche, Niche.

When you have a brand the worlds your oyster. Stay under the copycat radar and work your system.

If you need any more help this is my business.

is this helpful?
