Hi

I am interested in really pushing the services that we supply. I am currently working with a partner for our web design and web development business, www.webpyla.com

although the site is nothing fancy, we are soley concentrating on getting clients. Our main strength is providing unique logo's and uniquely designed websites, all for £199.00.

We also do web development and e-commerce, however we are concentrating on the £199.00 package, as we are only a small team and e-commerce projects take more time.

As our market is literally worldwide, I was wondering how can we market ourselves to people all over the globe? Or how can I find those certain people itching to get a website, but they dont know where to start and are on a budget?

Any advice will be very much appreciated. Thanks for reading my thread.

Regards
Fabrizio

Hi Fabrizio,

Select a search engine of your choice and search for: website promotion, SEO, web design advice, usability, accessibiltiy and so on. Join forums, read blogs, get RSS feeds and keep researching until your eyes bleed.

Then take another look at your website and spot the deliberate errors.

Hint 1: Click Here to enter the site.
Hint 2: Don't use a WYSIWYG editor.
Hint 3: SWF isn't indexable.

If the search engines can't find you how are your potential customers going to manage it. Sorry if my post seems a bit rude but it's frustrating to see the same basic errors repeated again and again.

Effective Web Design - It's not that difficult if you follow the rules.

Get rid of the flash intro.
Work on your content - more of it and optimize what you have now
Do some web site promotion

get a list of start up companies, they will not be able to afford some fancy website and they will have to think about their image / logo for their business that is where I see you getting more clients.

Just sign up to Google adwords and pay for the traffic. Simply make sure you have a page that converts well into sales and keep an eye on your budget. (and don't forget to advertise with me too )

James.

Re adwords - What typicallly makes a page which converts well - I would be looking for people to pass me their details to request a literature pack or arrange an appointment

thanks
Tim
