HI..i was doing a project where i have to prepare a marketing report on how i can market undergraduate programs at a university...i just have to do a PEST an SWOT analysis on it ...Just thought would take some of your suggestions .... If you can can think of any points...related to any of the belwo mentioned factors and drop your suggestions here, it would be really nice.

P - Political Factors
E - Economic Factors
S - Social Factors
T - Technological Factors

S - Strengths
W - Weaknesses
O - Opportunities
T - Threats

Any suggestions on any innovative ideas which can help market a university better would also be really appreciated.

Thanks

Powerpoint presentations should really only be used in conjunction with a polished performance off-screen as well.

Bullet-point your facts and expand on them verbally, this way you'll keep your audience focussed on your performance, and generally absorbing more info than a slide-show only.

Another angle to come from, is to focus more on the support the Uni offers, rather than just it's course framework, as it is the human element that truly 'makes' an educational establishment.

for strengths and weaknesses only do this relative to your competition

ie: if you write down your strength is "well financed" but so are the other top 10 unis, then this is not a strength as you are simply keeping up with the competition (or they are keeping up with you)
