Sell benefits - 11-05-2004, 02:00 PM

Here's the number 1 marketing tip.

If you have a product or service to sell, then communicate the benefits of that product or service not the product or service it self.

If you're a plumber - don't market yourself that way (even though everyone knows what a plumber does). You'll need to ensure you're better than the rest so in this example you'll communicate :

> Local company
> Fast, efficient service
> No mess
> Qualified for 25 years

In this way a customer will see how this service will benefit their need !

regards
Peter

This is also true

You need to answer the question the customer has that is "what's in it for me"
