Definately, if you consider the exposure to cost relationship, it's a long term ad that's always out there. I have an associate (yes at least one person talks to me) and they get all their business from their vehicle advertising...they don't do any other advertising at all!

I've found a few companies on the internet like these.

www.signsandshirts.co.uk
www.drivensigns.com

Or should I find a local company to do it or even get a complete van wrap done, which would be expensive.

What do people think about putting ads on cars? I know some can be tacky but then I've seen some that look good. As long as the car is decent and professional then a siple logo on the side and website address on the rear window could be ok couldn't it?

often wonderd myself about advertising on cars, does it not open up the possibilitys to mindless graffiti and scratches, esp if they did not like the service.. ona van is one thing, but your own personal car.. ouch..

often thought if it would be a good idea for a football club to join up with a car and make a limited edition of a model, with team colours (int and ext) but i guess that would be an idea never to get out of the board room .

Some companies pride themselves on their vans, companies like the AA, Homesure, and building companies use their vans to show their brand.

We have recently done some design work for a fleet of vans and it does make the company seem more professional and trustworthy. There is something a bit dodgy about a white van man, with no real affiliation coming to your house and asking for cash only!

After the vans were finished, the company wanted the van images on their business cards and website.

When looking for a company to do it though I found it is better to use a local company to the client, the costs will vary but trying to get 6 vans full of builders to a sign makers is like herding cats!!

Regards

Ian

I know a couple of service providers like myself, that don't need vans for lugging gear around, that have wrapped thier OWN cars for the advertising benefit. No other 3rd party company adverts on them however. You might as well make the vehicle work for you I guess.

I'm considering it but I'm not sure I could stand driving about in it all the time. Rolling up to my Mum's for Sunday dinner in a moving advert...

For a business with a van, I think it looks great and a few adverts does no harm in my opinion.

Mark, my feelings are the same as yours about vans being for business and cars for personal.

I couldn't see myself turning up at a restaurant driving a car with my company logos on, so I would drive the van during the day and have a separate car for evenings without the logos.

The only exception to this has got to be the Red Bull cars though, as they look smart and get attention.

Several of my clients have had their new logo applied to vans and their trade shot through the roof.
Stunning logo or stunning livery? Probably both!

• Too complex
• Has spacing issues
• Looks unprofessional (this may harm your sales).
• It'll be difficult to print well (drop shadows) and consistency across different media will be hard to achieve too.
• Illegible/confusing to many - especially at distance.
• Poor choice of colours (neon green)

Hope this helps!

Mark
