what do you wish for ? - 18-12-2006, 04:06 PM

OK, so if there was a product or service out there that doesn't exist for your business, what would it be ?

- website traffic?
- website conversion strategies

anything at all - put it down here ==>

Website traffic yes, but TARGETED traffic...
Something like a rotating text link system (if you see what I mean) but I could choose the website's / niche's that my links would be displayed on...

Is this just a "general" question Peter or are you fishing for ideas?

The one thing I would like to see is a centralised source of all legal information affecting small business. My business is involved in finance and its hard work tracking what Companies House, IR, ICO, OFT, FSA, CC and organisations like FISA are up to.

There are a couple of centralised government sites like GNN, but its still hard work

It *is* a general question

and yes, I am fishing for new ideas

of course this is a public forum so someone may just go off and invent what people are after - which is great for whoever asks for it

I use site stats from http://extremetracking.com which costs me about £6.50 per quarter. It's very good at what it does and provides me with full details of my last 20 visitors.

Some weekends I get about 10 visitors a day but during the week my limit of 20 can be used up in a couple of hours and I would rather see stats that let me look at all of the visitors instead of the last 20.

I would also like to see where they went when they left my site.

I use google analytics for this site and statcounter for other sites
both are free - google provides a TON of data (not where people go afterwards though) and statcounter is the last 100 visitors
Try google first

I use a full blown system called urchin that comes with my hosting from Hostway, but can't you use the free service from sitemeter.com for your site?

It lists the last 100 visitors and for $59 a year it will track the last 4,000. It gives analysis of out clicks, time spent, pages visited etc.
