Where to find press releases

OK - so I'm not asking about marketing exactly but I guess it fits in this forum...

I'm looking for a reliable website where I can find press releases for the sports equipment niche? I've spent some time on Google and I find lots of sites wanted me to submit a press release, and offering marketing services, but the only content sites I can find don't seem to offer up to date information.

I'm looking for breaking news, product releases etc. that I can blog about. Any ideas?

Depends how tight you need to be on the 'equipment' bit. But if general sports related stuff would help then look at the governing bodies of the sports disciplines. I know the British Cycling site is regularily updated with news and I'm sure the others will be the same.

Thanks Roy but I was actually after sources of press releases, not journalism. So taking your example, I'm looking for PRs from cycling manufacturers, that sites such as britishcycling.org.uk would get their info from. I appretiate that they probably get some of it direct from the companies, but in other niches I've found sites which have recent press releases and that's what I'm looking for here - straight from the horses mouth, before the journalists put their slant on it!

Press Dispensary publishes press releases on its site which includes sports related releases from time to time.

Hi, there are quite a few online PR/news sites out there which just publish people's press releases, such as:

przoom.com
ukprwire.com
free-press-release.com
pressbox.co.uk

They cover ALL industries so you'd have to hunt around for a sports category.
