Absolutely,
I heard that they are now charging £600 for 3 pages website linked to their index !!!! Did u see the quality of those 3 pages ???? Like many said here, yell may be for florist (and this tend to be no so true), plumber and specific like this... But as google local and yell.com are now providing the same content..probably better to stick to google. Anyway, if you still fancy doing business with directories: http://www.thomsonlocal.com and a new one: http://www.118119.eu

Id use Yell and then if couldnt find what I wanted I would use a serach engine.
We advertise with Yell.com and have found it to be very benificial  - you do need to pay extra to have the sponsored listing though and ensure there is a link to your website.

agree with Bill
Yell is very funny, you could advertise there without link, I cannot think of what is the point for that.
