Anyone who has a commercial property of any kind (shop, office, factory, hotel etc etc) has a legal responsibility to inspect for asbestos. Your new responsibility was enacted in May 2004, and insurers are being very aggresive in making sure you have carried out your duty before they re-insure commercial premises.
