FREE 0845 number
11-11-2004, 01:11 AM
  #1

Hi All

If you would like a free 0845 number with no call charges or rental to pay please email me through the site or on connect@84288.co.uk.

No need to give out your home number.

Your number moves with you when you move to (new) offices.

Going away for a while? - route your calls somewhere else.

Loads of benefits.

0870, 0871 and 0800 as well.

Adam

We have an 0845 number - can't remember where I got it from now but all for free - I assume you make your money from BT somehow ?

Yes, the networks pay me for supplying the numbers as it generally encourages use of a phone and they earn there money as usual.

Is this a good business model?

Do you get commission once the phone number has been set up or is it a one time fee ?

I have a single NTL line in my SOHO and when I go out I can divert all calls to my mobile.

Can this still be done with an 0845 number and as I currently have to pay for the diverted part of the call, will the call cost be the same for me?

Would this mean no call charges even when I receive a call? Its a long time since I used an 0845 number, but I seem to recall that I paid for some of the call charges.

Sorry, seemed to have missed this question!

I am paid per minute useage which increases as the useage does. We really ar talking a tiny amount of money. Most customers earn me about £12 a year. However most of them also take about one hours work for the year as well so not bad.

You can have an 0845 number diverted to a mobile and it costs about the same as diverting your number yourself. The downside is you need another credit application and direct debit etc.

And to Adam, that is right, no call charges. Many companies do still charge for receiving the call. I would like to but the market doesn't really accept it any more unless you are less technical and pay without researching other provders.
