Pre-press offer -
15-06-2006, 07:54 PM
I hope I'm within the spirit of this thread. Anyway, I always feel rather embarrassed about advertising myself!
I mainly produce brochures, magazines, newsletters, advertising and promotional material and can organise printing thereof. Some digital odds and ends as well. I usually handle pre-press for charities these days, but I've worked on many different types of account.
I have been established for years and I'm not cheap, however the offer here is £20 per hour for graphic design, page make-up, image correction and manipulation - which amounts to the majority of pre-press work. I'll keep to that hourly charge for one year for each forum member that places work with me from the start of the first job.
Of course, if you have an established budget for, say, a regularly published journal then a fixed monthly spend can actually be better all round.
If a job I've quoted on using the hourly rate finishes under the quoted price, you get the lower charge. If a job I've started looks like it's going over the quote (there could be external reasons for this), you'll be warned first so we can sort it out. That doesn't mean the job grinds to a halt, downing tools isn't something I do readily.
Physical colour proofs can be provided - A4 £8, A3 £12. Add £4 to each price for glossies. Discounts will be made for monthly magazine proofs. Once you've established to your satisfaction that I'm not colour-blind, having PDF's emailed to you in the future would be lots cheaper and quicker.
No client's work gets talked about, shown or displayed without permission.
I hope to build good long-term working relationships. There's more information on my website, any queries get in contact. Ta for reading!
