'Tis the season... - 07-12-2005, 02:18 PM

... to be jolly.

As well as that it's also tax season for those of us who are subject to self assessment.

The deadline for submission of returns and payment of any tax owing is 31 January 2006. If you haven't got your stuff to your accountant yet you better hurry as many firms are hiking their prices for clients who submit their papers so close to the deadline.

To those who don't have an accountant or simply fancy a change of accountants I offer a self assessment service for individuals, sole traders and partnerships as follows:

Individual tax return - from £99 + VAT
Sole trader tax return - from £199 + VAT
Partnership tax return - from £249 + VAT per partner
Subcontractor's tax return - from £149 + VAT

The deadline is just around the corner so if you need your tax return done (or know a man who does) do please give me a call. (Sooner rather than later as I'd like to get some sleep over the next seven weeks)

Mention this posting and I'll deduct 10% from the final fee.

Regards

Joy

Sorry Ian

I actually thought of you just as I was hitting the submit button, but by then the deed was done. Don't worry, we'll sort something out for next year.

I got a bit behind with my accounts and tax returns and needed to appoint an accountant. As I like to keep things "in the family" where possible I asked Joy to do them for me and can highly recommend her.

Hi Joy,

Looks like a good offer for the forum members!. I am one of those who tell others to get their affairs sorted-out on time but personally leave my own to the last minute. As usual, it will be done on time but will be cursing the software/system on 30th January .

Each year, I tell myself that it wouldn't happen next year but never seem to do it in advance .... Something always crop up. May be I should stay away from the forums in January for starters.

I hope business is going from strength to strength.

PS: I recomended your goodselves to someone who was looking for an accountant through another forum (name starts with p.) recently. Hope the guy got in touch.

Best regards,

Joel

Hi Joel

You and a miillion others were cursing the Inland Revenue website last year. You know what the answer is but I'll say it anyway - don't leave it till the last minute!

Thanks very much for reccing me on the other site. Business is good but as I'm sure you can imagine we're always looking for more.

Joy

Hi Peter

If he's professional about it it shouldn't be a problem. I have in the past written to outgoing accountants advising them of their client's wish to change and requesting all records. My professional body provides it's members with a template letter for this so I'd imagine it's pretty common for accountants to write to each other direct.

Regards
