Almoste a complete waste of time. The tools have been broken for years and only publish a fraction of the true inbound links.

Google webmaster tools is a little better but in general they value is poor since you have no way of determining which links are useful. Decent analytics tools on the other hand will show you the referrals which is an indicator as to which site generate decent traffic.

For me google webmasters is best and then i consider about yahoo tools to check my site backlinks and other important data like position for my keywords and other thing.

Yahoo site explorer gives data on backlinks but can't index pages very fast like Google does.

i do not think use "link:domain" on google is a good way to check backlinks, or you can use backlinkwatch to check your backlinks.

I think backlinkwatch is a better tool to check backlinks because you can see also detail of dofollow and nofollow links there.

In any case there is no such thing as a 'backlink'. The correct term is 'inbound link'.

Hi,

Google webamsters tools is best for me till now.

I just replied for "jason830" becauase he was showing some doubt with backlinkwatch tools.

So, I replied that backlinkswatch is good tools to check backlinks due to his feature. I did not use any tools to check my backlinks, i use some times backlinks watch or iwebtools to check my clients websites's backlinks to make a initial report.
