Question Google Sand Box etc

Hi All ,

we launched our site in December 06 and have been actively marketing via directories -joe ant ,yahoo,linking ,outdoor poster campaigns etc in Scotland..what else can we do to 'hurry up' the natural listings and get out of the sand box??Any feed back welcome .

First you should check clearly your site in send box or not? if yes then try to gain a qualty links and update your content regularly, It will take time but you will get reward

how can you check if yoursite's in the sandbox?

try typing into Google....

site:www.yoursitename.com

and see how many pages it has cache'd

(heh, I quite like that spelling of cache'd)

you'll definately get into the sandbox if you attempt to go for a big term (say, personal loans) with a new site and instant hundreds/ thousands of new links pointing at it.

Best go for long tail and build on it

Google sandbox used to be a big issue in old days when link exchanges actually worked. You could swap thousands of links but if you got them too quickly google would penalise you for a varying amount of time (in my opinion to make sure the links didnt dissapear). Then they would all of a sudden start to count these traded links and you would see your ranking sky rocket. The length in the sandbox used to seem relevant to how competed a keyword was.

With recent google updates link exchanges do not provide as much power as they did before. Getting one way links from pages with a similar theme to your site is the way to go.

the sandbox is not something official, SEOs made it up. anyway, if you setup in december last year surely you should be out by now. just create more links
