Hi,

When I use seo software to check my backlinks in google, its says that theere are no backlinks. When I do the same using yahoo or MSN its shows I have backlinks to the same pages.

I have used other programs and they tell me the same information, all the pages on my website have been indexed by google so I don't know what the problem would be.

Any ideas ????

Thanks

Hi,

As i know google will count only do follow and backlins from unique Ip.

And yahoo and other SEs count backlinks from all IP does not matter backlinks from same IP or different.

So be care about it that your backlinks are dofollow or no follow because google love only do follow and unique IP.

Thanks

Sorry but that's complete guff. The google link checking tool is famously broken and hasn't shown the complete picture for years. At best it only shows the inbound links it considers of value, irrespective of their origin. The best way to check your inbound links on google is to use the webmaster tools.

BTW, if you are using SEO software then you are breaking Google's terms and conditions. If Google recognises the software's footprint it can deliver false results.

The problem is in your software. You should always use the raw data coming from the search engines.

The best way to check the backlinks for any website is login to google.com and in the search box write link:www(dot)nameofthewebsite(dot)com and the links which will display on the page will be the backlinks for that specific website.

Hope this will help.

Thanks

See my post above. The google 'link' tool hasn't worked properly for years. It will only show a selection of the links it knows about.

Very few link checking tools are any good. Just because a link exists doesn't mean it has any value. It's quality not quantity that counts. 1 inbound link from a trusted site can be worth more than 1000 directory/blog/forum links.

If you want to know how many links did your site have, you should use google webmaster or yahoo to check.

Sorry my friend but this won't tell you anything useful. It's quality not quantity of links that is important.

Google webmaster tools have been updated and show more backlinks than they showed in the past. But Yahoo site explorer has been really good and can give you a lot of accurate information about your backlinks. You can also try checking your backlinks at smart backlink checker online.
