SEO elite will simply allow you to replicate what your competitors already do. Whuich means they will still rank higher than you.

If you read the google guidelines and keep up with the blog you will realise that links are no longer as important as relevence. Content is king. Even if you manage to get some good inbound links, Unless your content is relevent to the search trerms you will never ever rank well.

I promise you I'm not a spammer There are quiet a few websites that allow you to check which links a competitor has. It's also important to check your own site - you may think you have 100's of links but Google and Yahoo treat them in different ways so you might have a very high rank of Yahoo and a low one on Google as it's only registered a few of your links.... I'm still figuring all of this out.

Can anyone clarify why Google doesn't register the majority of links, while Yahoo does?

Because Google knows that most links are worthless. If you want to know a bit more about your inbound links then use the webmaster tools. But personally I wouldn't bother - it's not going to tell you anything useful since you don't know which links Google ignores and which ones it takes notice of.

That's right. Keep collecting relevent links for your site and analyse links form your google back links.

maybe they're doing a great job in SEO of their site.....not good enough for you to beat them

or maybe your competitors do some paid adverts or something involving online money for their site

I guess content is more accurate than this if you go for google. Just an opinion.

You got there, man if you wanted to have higher SERPS ranking you must focus more with the quality of your content. It will easily be indexed and web crawlers always love fresh content. Combining both can be of big help with your online visibility.
