Can you explain what you mean. Google does not even index the meta keyowrds so how can they matter?

I do agree that for SERP ranking purposes, Meta tags maybe a waste of time as Google puts less weight on them. But I guess its on the webmasters prerogative if he wants to have them. Personally, I would still include them. It's always best to present your site with all the onpage factors complete - we wouldn't know for sure if Google will put weight on them as well in the future.
